Budget: Prefer a bit less, but around $1600
More specific use (what games, what programs): Triple monitor, movies, some games, several browser tabs with various applications open at same time
Planned time until purchase: Within a few days
Do you need an Operating System?: I'll find a key for Win10
Do you have any specific preferred components?: I would like to eventually add a couple HDDs, around 4 total, not sure case supports this
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: No
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: Option to OC is nice
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?:No
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): US

Here is the link of what I made, I edited an older build posted by King Atrhur.
Wondering if there is a similar build you would make for this? Or what parts to edit?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R3CPyk

So, not 100% sure the amd cpu is better for the price compared to a similar intel cpu? Was looking into i7 9700k vs this, and price/performance? Although the difference seems minor between the 2.

Also the PSU, not much more for the EVGA SuperNOBA G3 650W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX PSU. But, its out of stock for a long time.
Or the same PSU, but the GA model is in stock.

Some weird compatibility notes for the motherboard and PSU?? Is this an issue? Can I buy the extra 4-pin ATX power connector, or can't?

And something about the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port issue with the mobo and tower? Just buy an adapter?

Thanks!

Plus 3070/3080 after restock. will be 1500$/1700$ respectively.
If you wanna oc go to 750watts

/edit
case supports 2x 3.5inch drives iirc, maybe 3.

Cool thanks! Was wondering if I can just add brackets for the case to add HDD if needed later?

Would a semi modular PSU be better and worth the extra cost?

I see you prefer the 7200 RPM HDD over the 5400. Guess its noticeable then?

Think the note on the mobo and PSU needing an extra 4-pin power connection is an issue? Edit: I believe this is not a big deal and can be ignored?

Thanks for the info!

I am trying to find more info about the issue with the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port with the mobo and tower. Not sure if an adapter or extra cable would fix this? Or if the tower cannot use type c with this mobo?

If it cannot use this even with an adapter, I might try to find another case that has more HDD slots. But honestly not sure if the Type C port is really all the beneficial?
Finding a good case is tough...

That case does not have a type c port.
aside from using a pci expansion card for type c no you can not unless you drill and mod the case and run your own.

/edit
real question is do you have type c devices?

i guess right now only 1 device may use usb type c, but not important for my pc. just thought id try to get the features available in case theya re needed in the future. but not a big deal.

Any idea when the 3070 GPU will be released? sometime mid october? I think I would also need to wait for any aftermarket GPU like from MSI or EVGA?

I guess I didnt know about new amd cpu being released near the same time as the 3070 nvda gpu... probably worth it to wait for the new amd cpu, since also waiting for the nvda gpu?
if it was just the gpu, then i could build it and put gpu in later, but sort of need to wait for cpu

ok so I am waiting on new amd ryzen cpu to be released before making purchase.

But I guess I probably should wait for benchmarks by independent people before purchasing new cpu and gpu also? In case there's some weird sketchy stuff going on with benchmarks from manufacturer. Chances are everything is fine, but seen a few things happen in the past, but they were not found out until much much later.

trying to look at case fans here: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/case-fan/#sort=-rating&m=99&page=1

What do you look for other than size and color when finding fans? It comes with Two Aer F120mm fans. Any reason to replace these for "better" fans?
Heard 140mm PWM fans are good. Looks like theres only room for 2 fans in front, 1 fan in back, and 1 fan on the top? Not sure where to check this or the size of the fans I should get?

But also checking out this video for this case : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApdliGCqtZg&feature=emb_title

also considering getting the
Ryzen 9 5900X which is $549 or
Ryzen 7 5800X which is $449

AND
and rx 6800 XT gpu which may be around $649, but an aftermarket will be a bit more.

Not sure if the cpu cooler picked would still be fine for these? I know I am going far outside my initial budget, but I figured why not get the best I can within reason.

New link for build idea sort of: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DvDRkX
Changed mobo to asus tuf, same price as other one, but seems like it may have better quality.
And changed PSU to higher watt. the gpu I am looking at says at least 750w, went with 850w just to have a bit more room. But EVGA is confusing with their psu models and not sure if the GA model is decent.
