Need a laptop PC for university

I need it for university, basic videos, I need it to go fast because I’ll multi task. I don’t know a lot about computers but something that will be good for e-mails and questions online. Basic stuff lol
Budget I’d like to top is 1000 CAD preferably
University stuff so it’s not a big deal, I’m not gaming
Just something that will keep up with university for at least 2 to 4 years.
Nothing specific just used windows in general
Nothing else. No need for keyboards or all.
I’m canadian from Quebec so it doesn’t really matter, just would like it to not be too expensive shipping wise.

(Sorry for my bad English and I thank y’all for your help)

The lenovo Flex 14 is insanely light and a great 2-in-1 for any basic needs. It's about $400. If you're a writer, it's not a bad choice.

Multi-tasking? Like running video and writing? Lenovo Flex would be fine.

If you're potentially going to be working on editing software, cad, or anything intensive get a higher end laptop around the 1k price point.

If there's anything I've learned from higher education, it's that you should NEVER sacrifice on the quality of your PC. You'll use it daily, for everything, and taking out a loan (if needed) is fully justifiable.

I'd opt for a nice MSI, Asus or Lenovo Legion.. getting more than enough is better than not enough.

I would not advise: Dell, HP, Acer.

here's an example of a laptop that's sleek, light, and powerful that fits your budget:

IdeaPad Gaming 3i (15”)
