or maybe build a new one?

right now i have a 1070/ i7 7700k/ 16gb ram/ maximus ixhero

trying to upgrade so i can make use of a 240hz monitor and my gpu atleast isnt gonna get frames anywhere near that for games like Apex, cod, etc

thoughts?

ok thanks also will say a 2080 ti or super w/e work in the same case/mobo?

Dunno what case u have, but as long as its not itx or unique size it'll work.

Also 2080ti would bottleneck your cpu, but it's still the best upgrade without getting a new cpu, mobo, gpu etc.

1070 with 7700k should be getting you pretty decent frames. If you’re running everything on high that’s your problem

I had the same setup, 1070 and i7-7700k and all I upgraded was a 1080ti and 32gb ram and mine runs flawless for ultra 1080p gaming.
