So I built my PC it starts up the fan runs everything lights up but the connection to the monitor is non existent I’ve googled the issue and done all the obvious things was wondering if you guys ever came across this problem and how you fixed it I’m somewhat stumped right now

Have you tried using a cable between PC and monitor?

Troll aside, try another cable? Or holding the delete key on startup if it's your first boor

Hooked the monitor up to my laptop it worked fine HMmmm still going to have to fuck around

Double check all connections in the pc..
EG: reset ram and gpu etc.

cable plugged into the gpu not mobo?

check this, and if in mobo and you dont have a gpu, make sure your cpu has integrated graphics
