Hello everyone,

My mother is looking to upgrade a few of her business computers. They are just used at reception for booking appts/web applications etc. some excel and worksheets to a minimum as well.

Shipping to Calgary, AB, Canada.
T3G3Y1

She was looking at a premade (best buy) . https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/acer-aspire-tc-desktop-pc-intel-core-ci5-9400-1tb-hdd-12gb-ram-windows-10/13985808?icmp=Recos_3across_tp_sllng_prdcts&referrer=PLP_Reco

its on for 600 CAD.

I was wondering if doing a build for her may be comparable/cheaper. I know parts are selling out everywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

budget would be 600ish per computer. (she would need 2)

I can buy OS off of ebay, and she has 2 monitors already.
No need for peripherals, or any overclocking. Can be done w/o a GPU if the chip has integrated. i don't think a GPU is required.

Looking to purchase in a couple days to be ready for re-opening.

Thank you in advance for any help/opinions.

Power supply pricing is super bad right now. It actually might be best to go with that unfortunately. Let someone else chime in before you buy that though

thank you.

Was thinking the same thing, but just wanted to make sure. I may get these and stick a ssd in both for her.

40$ more but comes with an ssd, better mobo, more ram, and probably a better psu.
The cpu is a tad weaker but the rest is top shelf, down the road you can add a better cpu (for cheaper) if they every need it.
