So I tried ordering some
Patriot Extreme Performace Viper 4 Series - DDR4 - 8GB - SO-DIMM
Sticks for my laptop
But frys called and said they only had one of the ones I wanted.
They could give me another set that was “2$” a piece more but one is factory new and the other is a return that they tested and said works
I said go ahead and send them
Did I make a bad move?

If the laptop max’s Out at 2133mhz and I slap 2400 capable ones in the voltage should auto drop to make them work right?
Am I wrong in thinking that the returned one has a lower amount of life left in it?

If anything I can return them if They don’t boot but I am concerned that they would overheat the board by drawing more voltage(pretty sure the HP bios won’t let me edit settings)

Thoughts?
