I'm thinking Processor is my next step... thoughts?

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Memory: 8GB DDR5 (I think, its been at least 5 years since I bought ram, was 5 out then?)
Mobo: MSI Z87-G43

No overclocking or anything done.

Was probably ddr3 for memory considering only ddr4 right now

Oh, damn. Must have been thinking the GFX card :D

Is DDR4 significantly better than 3?

Meh budget is loose, I can spend what I want pretty much but I don't need a top tier 10k rig, I just play casually. I just want to keep it updates pretty much.

Games like Skyrim and Fallout run perfectly fine but at the same time Borderlands 1 has screen tearing. I've been fighting that for awhile.

I just did the same thing but when i bought a new cpu i bought a AIO cooler with it.

Should think about that as well ^_^


My cpu runs temps 2x less than before.
