More specific use (what games, what programs): Borderlands 3 , Path of exile, any new racing game thats gonna come out soon...
Planned time until purchase: this month
Do you need an Operating System?: Guess I can download windows and buy a key on eeebeyy?
Do you have any specific preferred components?:not really
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: nop
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: nop
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: not for now, plan on using my old monitor, might upgrade for a new one later with better refresh rate

You did pretty good. Not really much to change.

Downgrading to 16GB of RAM is fine, but stick with that power supply you originally picked. 550W Is not enough.

/ee If you happen to have an older AMD CPU... you could save ~$90 on the motherboard, by getting a B450 chipset board.

I dunno if they still do it, but AMD was loaning older CPUs to folks that bought the newer CPUs and needed to flash the BIOS using the older CPU.

yea I read about that issue...but I dont really want to play with BIOS on a brand new rig. 90 bucks for a couple hours of wasted time isnt worth it for me, as I could simply work at home for 2-3 hours instead and make the same amount

Estimated wattage is at 334W per pcpartpicker, are you sure 550W GOLD isnt enough?

I need to check if I can order most of my parts from the same place to save shipping. Plus it's annoying to order from several online stores

I understand completely. I would go with this then...

Personally, I like this motherboard better... https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/whMTwP/asus-tuf-gaming-x570-plus-atx-am4-motherboard-tuf-gaming-x570-plus

Ryzen 3600 + a 2060 (Super) will NEVER come even close to 500W.

Literally any decent 400W PSU will do perfectly fine, possibly even good 350W ones.

Also, there's no reason to pick an expensive X570 board for that CPU when MSI offers B450 boards that can easily take an OC'd 3600 or 3700X for ~100$. Pick a B450 Tomahawk, A-Pro or the MAX version if available.

If you want an X570 board, Gigabyte is your best option.

I simply didnt wanna mess with flashing the BIOS of my brand new Mobo, tbh.

I never flashed any BIOS, kinda scares me. Plus I dont have a spare AMD cpu.

Or do B450 boards come already with the updated BIOS to support the new ryzens?

MSI offers "MAX" branded B450 boards which already come with an updated BIOS and therefore support the new Ryzen CPUs out of the box.
Also, most regular (non-MAX) MSI B450 Boards come with a function named BIOS Flashback, which allows you to flash the latest BIOS without a CPU installed.

ImO go with an MSI B450 A-Pro or Tomahawk (basically identical boards with the same VRM; but A-Pro tends to allow for higher boost speeds) and maybe swap the GPU for Gigabyte's Windforce OC to save some money.

And ofc keep the 550W PSU. That system requiring a higher Wattage PSU is BS. You can easily run an OC'ed 3700X and a 2070 Super or 5700 XT using a decent 550W PSU.

guess i would be golden with this motherboard then.

I just need to download Version 7C02v1A BIOS on MSI's official website, put it on a usb stick (previously formated in FAT32) and plug the thing. Then when I will boot the PC, even without a CPU it will let me install the newer version? As easy as that?

Will I have any other issues afterwards?

he's not concerned about it being 550w. He prefers you to get quality PSU for example, https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/DPCwrH/seasonic-power-supply-ssr550rm
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/z9CD4D/antec-earthwatts-gold-pro-550w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-ea550g-pro

TXM is decent, but why pay similar when you can get tier 1 PSU's like seasonic
