Looking for my first ever new PC, have always bought used but finally want to enjoy a rig that isn't a dated POS. Plan on purchasing before the end of september, willing to wait a bit longer if there's a large discount incoming. Wanted to post now to get a better understanding of what I'd be looking at.

Budget: $1500-2000 CAD
More specific use (what games, what programs): Starcraft 2 is currently the highest requirement game, however I haven't explored many other games due to always having a shit PC that can't handle most games (currently play Sc2 on lowest possible settings and still lag, want to be able to play on max with ease). Also watch streams/videos while gaming.
Planned time until purchase: ~30 days
Do you need an Operating System?: Yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Would like to be able to have at least 2 monitors
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: Sound Card I guess? Will use wired connection
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: Stock (unless there's serious advantage to overclocking)
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Yes, looking for 2 monitors but this budget can include only 1 for now (can purchase additional monitor/keyboard/mouse separately down the road)
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): M5V3R5

As you can see somewhat noob to this, advice is greatly appreciated.

Is there a particular reason I would go AMD over Intel? Was under the impression AMD was the go to if I’m on a budget, while intel out performs but is more expensive.

Intel does outperform a little bit in gaming... not much.

on sc2 do you mainly 1v1, 2v2?

cause I mean on pretty much any computer it can lag hard on 3v3, 4v4, many units etc especially maxed settings

plus other people lag..

but if ur the lagger than it can at least look a lot better and just hope they dont lag as much once u fix it, etc.
