Buget is 1900
All I play is csgo right now I'm on a 6600k
Asus 1070
16 gig 3000 gskill
Upgraded psu last week to a evga g3 750w and plan to throw that in new rig
Also I'm using a s340 as a case thinking of changing as well
I don't play any other games so I don't really need to upgrade all my stuff I was thinking new motherboard and cpu, but idk it's only money.

I typically get 200-250 fps on a pug, but want more, also buying a 240hz monitor this weekend

pending the size and scaling of the monitor, you may want a 1080?
other than that there's not really any reason to upgrade beyond 200-250fps stats.

I do notice the frame dips. I believe csgo is more cpu not gpu dependant. would a 1080 really help me that much?

There is no reason you need to upgrade. Save your money, until you do.

im pretty sure its CPU in csgo.. better gpu probably wont do much

i get solid 290-300fps on max settings 1080p.. and i have the i5-8400 so anything above that will do, just make sure its intel as intel > amd in cs

which 240hz monitor are u getting? benq? =)

If its same resolution it could be either. Just gotta see what's maxed out when he plays.
