Hey there, I have my computer for about 5 years now, the performance is pretty decent for my needs (I play d2, aoe2, league of legends and Warrock) but for some reason my computer keeps freezing for no reason. Like i am in the middle of a game and the image is stuck (can't move, not even mouse) and there will be a loop (half a second repeating over and over) of whatever sound was playing at this time in the game. Then after a while, it will resume like nothing happened. Sometimes it lasts a minute, sometime seconds. Sometimes it will do it multiple times in a night, sometimes it will pass 2-3 days without doing it.

These are my specs:

Like a year ago, my graphic card went kaput so my friend gave me his cause he upgraded his for one that can run VR, so I am using his. I also bought new ram sticks (the one in the spec picture)

Any idea how to fix my computer/upgrade my computer so it spots freezing like this ?

Thanks a bunch!

Probably your video drivers.

Disable windows driver overwriting,
right click start > system > top right system info > advanced system settings > hardware tab > device installation tab > select no save changes

go into safemode with networking > Install and run DDU for nvidia and amd to be safe > reset pc > install these...

So you are telling me to uninstall the AMD in case amd drivers have been installed in the past by accident. Gotcha !

According to your screenshot, you don't have any AMD hardware in your computer; you don't need their drivers.

correct, we were not informed on what your old gpu was so it was more of a just in case.

"Probably your video drivers."

Cause that was merely an option not exactly a sure fire fix.
At this point if it was me I'd format it and if it persists then its most def hardware and if not then gg.

Maybe someone else has an idea but generally that kind of issue is driver related.
You could try testing hardware though.

Is SSD full? I would reformat as well, these types of problems typically take more effort than a reformat
