Looking for a decent build. Something that really gives the best bang for my buck. So like Medium-medium/high end.

$800-1k CAN budget, mainly just use for gaming, maybe a bit of streaming but probably not. Might pirate an OS, or just buy one but what is a good OS nowadays? I hate windows 8.

atrhur has a solid build, and i won't try competing with canadian markets.

win 10 is like mixing 7 and 8. sprinkled with an insane lack of privacy for good measure.

you can use different linux versions, but pending what games you play, that could be somewhat of an issue.
some games like GTA 5 are windows only. there are ways around that, but "some" of those games seem to be a large hassle at times.

Similar to kings, trades a little CPU performance for bit better graphics.

Manjaro if you wanna get tech savvy, but win 10 is fine tbh. Its bloaty but easy to use.

Are there any new gens of CPU or GPUs coming out soon ?

i'm not the best person to ask i guess.
the only reason i'm not learning to run versions of linux is because of numerous common issues trying to run gta 5.
and gta 5 can be a pain in the pass even on the OS it's designed to play on.

if you get any version of win 10, make sure it's pro.
it comes with it's own daily mini-game too. "destroy cortana"

Looks pretty good, if I needed to trim about $100-150 where would be my best bet. I also don't really need to worry about future proofing it because I will likely sell it in a couple years and build a new one.
Not sure if I need an 8 core cpu, or if theres a cheaper option for using like 4x4gb ram.
