getting fps drops playing
apex legends, vermintide 2 and cs go

i5 6400
1070ti
16gb ram
using a 60hz monitor could this be the problem? or is my cpu bottlenecking me?


updated to the newest nvidia drivers

any ideas guys?

You might try re-doing the video drivers, but running DDU first.

DDU Instructions - Nvidia
1. Get this program, here: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get your vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: http://www.geforce.com/drivers ...save this to your desktop.
3. Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you. If it wants to go into "Safe Mode", let it.
4. After it's done and comp has rebooted to normal mode, just double click the Nvidia driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.

did u use ddu to completely remove 670 driver before installing 1070ti driver?

its dropped to the low 20s at times.
Temps are good highest ive seen the gpu was like 55-60
and 45 for cpu

nothing wrong with the hardware then, i'd just do a fresh install of windows if ur lazy to find the problem.
There's no way a 6400 + 1070ti struggles to get above 60fps all the time in 1080p.
