Hey,

im thinking about to get a new desktop computer, because mine is around 7 years old now.
Would like to get some suggestions :)

Budget: 1500-1700$ (1300-1500€)
More specific use (what games, what programs): Mostly playing Games like Dota 2 or PoE, sometimes Far Cry or better games...
Planned time until purchase: next week :D
Do you need an Operating System?: no
Do you have any specific preferred components?: no radeon gpu pls
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: sound card would be great, because im using an high end headset
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: probably overclocking
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: i do need an 144hz monitor (or 2?), prices for these not included in budget
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 10117 Berlin (Germany)

What are your preferences in case style? (lights, flashy, dull, etc): clean, darker
Are you planning to use multiple monitors? yes, i want to use atleast 2 monitors
Are you looking for upgrade-ability? probably at some point, no priority tho
Do you have any preferred brands? i prefer amd over intel, but would take intel if its way better (i have no clue on that stuff..)
Can you reuse any components from an older build?[/B] i will reuse an ssd, but could need a better one.. mine is 5 years old..
Is there anything else you think we should know? im not planning to play/see any 4k games/videos, so probably dont need an rtx gpu? - i can build the computer myself :)

The games you listed are not very demanding, and with the latest release of Adobe Cloud (provided you have the cloud subscription) You can do all of the rendering on their backend.

What interests me though, is you said you might be doing programming. GIT/BitBucket, VSCode or Visual Studio? SQL?
I ask, because that will have a major impact on what I would recommend.

For now, this build was thrown around a few days ago and looked over by a few regulars here including myself and King Atrhur

Yes, im developer so im used to code from home sometimes.
Bitbucket (Sourcetree), Jira, IntelliJ/PhpStorm, ElasticSearch, SQL - also running lokally a xampp server and/or symfony application.

I know the games im playing aren't high end, but i would like to have a pc which is able to run higher games and/or is possible to stream with?

ty tho :)

edit: ohh, and i dont need any headset - i have a Steelseries Arctis Pro - and monitor doesnt need to be included in the budget of 1500€ - it can be extra.

All of the capabilities for rendering and streaming. That GPU will handle pretty much anything you throw at it.
To be honestly, you really won't notice the difference between 60hz and 144hz in those games. It's much more noticeable in over the shoulder or first person games, vs 3rd person (where the entire contents of the screen don't move around rapidly).
None the less, I included a 1080p 144hz monitor in your build, but I would honestly recommend just getting a 4k 60hz IPS because it will be much nicer to have for photoshop, and the 2070 will be able to play those games (at least Dota 2 and PoE for sure, Far Cry will be iffy at ultra settings, but turn a couple down and it'll still be plenty smooth.
Could also look into 1440p ultrawide IPS, would give more overall screen real-estate, nicer for programming, and still get the high pixel density and color accuracy for photoshop.

Skip to like 9:50 to see the 4k performance of 2070 in far cry.

All of the above mentioned for gaming is accurate and should be taken into consideration. If you are a developer and are looking to expand your skill set or use do some side-work, I would recommend getting on board with the Microsoft insider program as they will give you tons of credit for Azure, SQL, and Visual Studio for free if you have a Microsoft account and link it to Partner center.
