tried to refine prices and my concept a bit, took out the HDD and changed to a lower priced SSD. Swapped chassis for one with side panel and 2 pre-installed fans

Hoping this build has room for future upgrade and that i'm not building a dead end, would love some input from you guys before I purchase ;).

EDIT; I need this system to be capable of playing Osrs right now, but want it to be up-gradable in the future.

a 240gb ssd will not get you by alone. this is enough for windows 10 and the random crap that makes it's way to that drive. not enough to add games to it.
you will need a HDD to store things.

honestly if you aren't buying the samsung 970 evo or pro pci x4, i'd suggest just sticking with a HDD. i'd recommend a 7200 rpm drive for playing games off the drive, which does get more expensive than your basic 5400.

i'd also like to steer you away from micro atx. stick with a regular ATX form factor and you will have more options in the future when you go to upgrade.
this would mean you would need a new case as well.

i'll make a recommendation for a case, but i'll state this is not a needed case. if you want future upgrades, just make sure a case has space. an open style isn't for everyone.

i own this case myself and am really happy with it. it's allowed me insanely easy access to hardware, which has been increasingly helpful to me by circumstance.
the instructions of setup are complete ass. but if you did purchase this case, i have some experience with it's setup.
it's wise to keep a can of duster around with this case.

RAM- if it's not a hardship, i'd recommend 3200mhz over the 3000. not a major thing though.

CPU- i'd invest a little heavier on the cpu myself, ryzen 3 is getting pretty dated.

1 last thing... you don't have a gpu listed. i'm assuming this is something you'd need?

don't waste $100 on OS when your budget is ~$400. You can get oem keys off ebaye/kinguin etc. for $5-10

based on your link,
if you're planning make some short term upgrades i'd start with 1 stick of 8gb ram, so you can get another 1x8 for dual channel 16gb later on. Having 2x4, will mean u either gotta go through the hassle of selling the pair or getting another 2x4 to run 4 ram sticks. However the mobo you picked only has 2 ram slots, so you're basically "dead ending" urself ram wise. Also you'd want to get 3000-3200hz ram if you're going AMD's CPU as they perform better with higher bandwidth speeds. I'd get 3200 in your case because you're relying on the built in GPU from the ryzen.

Case is personal preference, as long as it has decent airflow and cable management room. However I'd purchase a ATX size case so you don't limit yourself to microATX builds in the future.

You definitely need to get a better quality power supply with more power so you don't limit yourself in the future having to buy another PSU, it's also one of the most important part in your build.

Get the intel, if you plan on getting a dedicated GPU soon
Get the amd, if you plan on sticking with the built in GPU for a while.

Appreciate the replies guys~ Are the keys off kinguin/ebay legit? And how do I go about installing the OS through key? (ofc by legit I mean, do they work, I could care less if microsoft gets mad lol)

@RAM, ah I see your reasoning, looking into a 8gb 3200 to pair

@SSD/HDD Would I be better off with 1 but not the other, or is pairing a 500gb HDD with the SSD's i've selected a better option?

@M-atx / ATX, Definitely making the switch, I had thought about it severely when beginning the build but figured price points would be higher. Clearly not an issue, and the ATX chassis are more future proof.

I'm not dying for an aesthetic tower, functionality and price are paramount for me here.

I'm gonna work with that AMD build you've posted and try to upgrade it to around 450$.

i may be mistaken, but i don't think sata ssd's accomplish much over HDD's.
imo better off with 1x large, decent HDD. that way if you upgrade to good SSD in the future, you'll also have a good HDD to go with it. you also won't have to worry about space issues so much.
i'd recommend a 2-4gb HDD.

also it's illegal to sell keys without licensing. it's not technically "illegal" to buy them.

Figured ;) I'm looking at 1tb 7200rpm WD HDD's right now as well as possible lower priced 8gb sticks to possible grab 2 instead of just the single.
Would adding cooling fans help or on this build would they basically just be cosmetic?

More RAM than MOBO >>

Really do appreciate the input and knowledge guys, I was feeling iffy about jumping into this~

fans all depend on your case. if you have an enclosed case you will want case fans.
not all enclosures are built equally though.
