Looking at Alienware, CyberpowerPC, Predator gaming desktops.

I want a build similar to this

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/#problems
Basically 2080 Ti + i9 9900k

I was wondering wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a prebuilt? I feel like it's the same cost and it would save me from the hassle to build it. I don't know if I'm missing something but back in the days with this computer that I built GTX 670, it was cheaper to buy separate.
But nowadays...?

1) It's cheaper to build pretty much any tier system yourself of the same quality hardware. Prebuilds will flex with graphics cards and cpu, then cut corners on everything else (cooling, power supply, mobo, ram, etc).
2) You generally get much longer warranties on hardware you buy yourself (a nice power supply will have like 10 year warranty) vs the like 2 years you get with a pre-built.
3) If you want a high end system, you shouldn't be afraid to build it, you're going to have to open it up in the future anyways to perform maintenance. (lack of maintenance is a big reason that computers fail earlier than they should).
4) Building yourself is generally much more aesthetically pleasing (pre-built cases look like dogshit generally and have terrible cable management).

If you're seriously about a system of that caliber, fill out the sticky and we can help you suggest something that might be around the same price as a pre-built, but with better overall components.
