Feel free to point me towards a weblink with this info. I don't know exactly what terms to use or what to Google to find the answer.

I popped the old platter HDD out of my desktop today so I could hook up a new SSD and install Windows on it. How would I go about hooking the old HDD back up to use as a secondary data storage drive and access my old files? Maybe it's a simple plug and play thing, but I'm not savvy enough to guess what would happen if two data drives with Windows installed are hooked up at the same time. Thanks for any insights.

plug it back in via sata cable although you may wanna load a linux live disk to move over files/partition the drive as windows may not let you access it depending on the permissions settings set up.
