So on my Mobo i have 2 sata 3 connectors i think i have one of my HDD in a sata 2

1. Would it speed up performance if i changed the HDD to a sata 3
2. If i did change the sata port my HDD is connected to will it automatically detect it and start up as normal or would i need to change it in my bios
