Potential Issues / Incompatibilities
Some AMD B350 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Pinnacle Ridge CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Yeah. AMD has a program where they will send you a CPU (if necessary) so you can upgrade the BIOS (if necessary). The CPU they send is just a loaner ofc.

/e For a few bucks more...

The cheaper board, with the incompatibility is actually a better motherboard though. If I use the same quality board, the price goes up more...

from what i understand, ryzen tends to benefit from ram clock speeds more than intel; why not take this ram instead? https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Cw2rxr/team-dark-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-tdred416g3000hc16cdc01
