I recently got this:

Anker 3-Port USB 3.0 Aluminum Portable Data Hub with Gigabit Ethernet Port Network Adapter for Mac, PC, USB Flash Drives and Other Devices
Sold by: AnkerDirect Product question? Ask Seller
Return window closed on Nov 9, 2018
$26.99

on amazon.com over here

problem:

My connection is still only close to 100mbps when it should be a Gigabit. Can anyone solve this problem? I could return my anker for another one that works.

What's your current modem/router? These are capped as well. Will probably need to change these out

This, plus ISP speed, plus motherboard connection. Also, 1gbit is about 120 MB/s. Big B for byte, little b for bit; 8 bits per byte.

Are you actually using a USB 3.0 port? Or 2.0?

Nvm, 2.0 will cap you at 480mbps. Nevertheless you still need 3.0 to achieve 1000+
