Currently on the AMD train,

MOBO - ASRock FM2A88M Pro3+
CPU - AMD A10 7860 black

Wanting to change over to the i7 cpu but I am baffled with the options of mother boreds and need guidance.

Price is whatever; just searching for opinions and help towards the right direction.

Stay on the AMD train, it's the one that's not running out of tracks.

If you can hold off 6 months, new AMD cpu's gonna shit all over Intel. I'll put all my FG on it.

Stay with AMD. Get the 2700x or the 2600x if you have to and upgrade when the new series comes out next year. Gonna blow intel away

quick mobo guide

pick whatever brand u like - ASRock, asus, evga, msi, etc - doesnt matter they are all good

will you overclock? if yes u want a Z370 or Z390 chipset, if not H370 or B360 should be fine

pick whatever features u like: rams slots, m.2 slots, IO shield, RGB, wifi, usb ports..
