I need to add Bluetooth capability to my PC because I'm buying a Bluetooth game controller 8Bitdo SN30. The back of the controller box says Windows Bluetooth 4.0

I see tiny Bluetooth adapters such as this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZIILLI

My questions:
Are those tiny usb adapters adequate? I want a very solid connection since I'll be using it for a game controller.
Is it better to buy a dedicated PCI card that offers Bluetooth? I'm having trouble finding many that are only Bluetooth. Seems Bluetooth is usually combined with wireless network cards, is that correct? (I really dont need wireless networking)
Is it worth it to get Bluetooth 5.0 when all I need for this controller is 4.0?

Been using a 18 dollar USB adapter for my ps4 controller. Zero input issues.

Actually that's the exact one I have.

You can get a BT + wireless card pcie x4 for like $40, not sure if it's really going to perform better than a USB adapter tho since signal shouldn't have to travel thru wall or transfer high data rates.

It would be about 4 feet away and behind a monitor. Unless I bought a USB extension cord, which will make the total about $20 for the setup.

The other option I was able to find was a PCI card like this one for $35: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0713RRZMB
It looks more powerful to me  But is it overkill I wonder? I'm seeking quality but I'm trying not to waste money.

What do you guys think, is it worth the price to buy the PCI card or am I wasting money and desk space?

I'm a total Bluetooth noob here.

Is there one you would recommend? Idk if its overkill. I have a lot of electronics around me if that matters. I've never used bluetooth before lol. Maybe I will find other uses for it..

i use this one and its working with no problems

https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Receiver-Keyboards-Controllers-USB-BT400/dp/B00DJ83070/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1540734052&sr=1-3&keywords=asus+USB+Bluetooth

have logitech keyboard + mouse + nintendo switch pro controller connected to it, and use it in another room about 6m away

bluetooth is old af and imo its not very good, sure it gets the job done but if u are only 4 feet away and want zero input lag ill recommend a wired controller

i dont think a pci card would be better but pretty easy to find out from a google search
