sorry for the rookie question but i am upgrading my 1050 TI to a 1070 TI tomorrow. as far as i am reading online its as simple as just unplugging the one and plugging up the other? and then updating drivers ofc.

side question whats the easiest way to test the card for damage? its being shipped and i work at UPS and FedEx so i know how the packages are treated sometimes lol..

You probably won't need to update the drivers.

As for damage...if it works...it's OK. :)

/e IF for some reason you WANT to update the drivers anyways.... do it like this...

DDU Instructions - Nvidia
1. Get this program, here: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get your vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: http://www.geforce.com/drivers ...save this to your desktop.
3. Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you. If it wants to go into "Safe Mode", let it.
4. After it's done and comp has rebooted to normal mode, just double click the Nvidia driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.

u can check for damage to the package or check if it has been opened..

received a open, damaged package with cpu and mobo ones, but notthing happend, pc parts is usually safe inside their pwn packing.

yea pretty much plug n play, remember to plug in power from psu tho, since 1050 ti dont have that

im 99% sure u need new drivers, windows will probably install it on auto, or u can get geforce experience or go to the website to get the newest

I'm pretty sure the 1050 TI and 1070 TI use the same drivers.

Yeah they do. Sometimes when ya switch a card, ya have to reboot twice before the new card is recognized.

After the new card is recognized, you should do DDU and a new driver install anyways.
