Budget: $500
More specific use (what games, what programs): Looking to beable to dual monitor (Playing Path of Exile and watching twitch/youtube on another monitor)
Planned time until purchase: Unsure right now, looking for ideas
Do you need an Operating System?: Yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: No
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: Wireless card is a plus.
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: Stock
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: No peripherals needed
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 85051

I understand not having a time frame will lead to prices being changed and or hard to pin down but just wanna get an idea of what I can possibly get for 500$
Right now my computer could probably do it but it'll work really hard lol, was hoping to give my current pc to my gf for minecraft and get one thats more usable for what I want

i think the best u can do with that budget is 8100+1050ti and 8gb ram (add 8 more later if needed)

pretty much the cheapest i could find, some of it on sell - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NvDqNQ

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xCTYfH - $497.55 after $30 MiR at time of post
Integrated graphics are better than 7700 series stock, and you could overclocked it without adding voltage (easy to do and not bad for hardware), and get even more performance.
For an extra $35, you could get one of these wifi card, they will work excellent (I have personal experience with both): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7DYNsZ
I would recommend spending an extra $50 and getting a 500GB SSD in place of the 1TB HDD, it will make the system feel much quicker overall. One of these two would work well: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/62Jy8Y

But to be clear I'm not looking to upgrade it, I'll strip it down and let me if use it for her Minecraft and south park games

However if it's cheap enough to upgrade I can just buy her a laptop for minecraft

ah k a while ago I used to use a 7750 lol. It wasn't the best but I mean it was playable.

also I'd go with Haj's build imo. gpu > no gpu

/e but I'd also try and find a 480gb ssd it's worth it that also should be enough space as long as u dont play way too many games

I could cut down the ram to 8gb and cpu to one without graphics and fit a graphics card too... But a 1050ti isn't much better than the integrated vega graphics. They will both handle 1080p 60fps.
The idea behind mine is more future proofing. Twice the CPU threads, twice the ram at higher speeds, PSU that won't die after a year, case with nice build quality and features, etc.

1) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pt7vsZ ~ $500
2) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XjHRnH ~ $560

Option 2 would be worth the extra money IMO, but either option will be able to do 1080p 60hz gaming on most titles. The second one does have noticeably better compute and graphics power tho.
You can always add a graphics card later if you're looking for more power (higher resolution and/or refresh rate).

yea i can play poe but they just released a graphics upgrade that has my computer running harder lol just want it it run easier

I am only planning on playing POE, and maybe Monster Hunter World. Potentially ARK on low settings if possible but not a priority by any means.
