here is my current build.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j9tRzY

i still need to buy the cpu cooler and the HDD.
i'm hoping to find some experienced responses to the cpu cooler.

the cpu cooler i've read rather decent things about. many people mention getting noctua fans to replace the stock fans.
however, there is 1 down-side to what i'm reading. the EVGA "Flow" software. people do not seem too happy with the software.
so i'm hoping i can get some opinions on the Flow software, and any suggestions to replace the device.

i should state, i'm not trying to replace the device. but i am not set in stone on the EVGA.

I would go with the Corsair version...

Corsair has been doing this longer, and from what we've seen on here... IF it ever leals, they replace it and w/e it leaked on... free.

/e As for hard drives. I personally always go with the WD Caviar Blacks. Just stay away from the 3TB and/or the 5TB. They seem to have a higher failure rate.

The 1TB, 2TB, 4TB versions have an excellent track record.

+1 for corsair cooler (or the NZXT kraken is good as well)
Also +1 for WD 1/2/4 TB HDD's, however if you aren't constantly writing to it, the blue will last just fine (there's a reason the WD blue 1tb is the most purchased HDD on newegg)

upon reading, i can confirm corsair replaces affected components on a case by case. i've also learned that EVGA offers the same.
i've looked through the Flow software and it seems alright to me, granted i am not experienced with other programs to really give +/- on it.
the Flow software seems to have still been in beta as of last year, which "could" be a reason why the software had negative reviews from people in the past.

i'm still weighing this decision. if anyone has +/- to either this particular EVGA cooling model, or for Corsair models. let me know please

New GPU's next month, source? There's rumors of it being anounced0 end of next month, but I'd put money says it's not readily available until 2019.

CHANGE OF PLANS

i'm not planning on many case fans, if any actually. i'm more relying on the psu and radiator fans to pull air in since it's an open case.
so i'm thinking i should buy a monoblock to cover the cpu and vrm.
i suppose i'm looking to build a small loop now. which means starting with $140 on the only block that fits. EK-FB ASUS M9H Monoblock - Nickel
