Built this in 2011.....

Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-25)
Motherboard
MSI P67A-G45 (MS-7673) (SOCKET 0)
Graphics
SMBX2431 (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Undefined)
Storage
465GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB ATA Device (SSD)
931GB SAMSUNG HD103SJ ATA Device (SATA)



Still working great on most games but few people said in order to upgrade the GPU , i need to upgrade the motherboard as well....


Talk to me people....Im still considering just building a whole new rig

Get 8GB more RAM, and upgrade the vid card. The motherboard won't need changed.

/e You can overclock the CPU too.

My GPU runs pretty hot right now or atleast i think it does, like 70-82C when playing any game? Possibly a new case?

Case should be fine. You can use MSI Afterburner (free) to turn up the fan speed or set a fan curve, on your GPU.

It could also be the GPU is just getting old. Thermal compound may be weakening, load may be too much for the card, etc.

But the 2500K is a great CPU. With proper cooling you should be able to get 4.7-4.8Ghz out of it.
