If CAS is the same then the higher speed ram is best.
Speed is better for DDR4 unless your CAS is of a huge difference 3-5.

With DDR4 benchmarks and applications tend to favor speed over CAS, much more then DDR3 does.

thanks for the info, buying RAM is being the most difficult part for me so far lol

so much to look for, I still havent bought them

my mobo has 4 ram slots so I am debating it I should go for 1x16 gb instead of 2x8 gb but 64 gb might be overkill even in the future for a not heavy ram like me

price vs mhz vs cl

my mobo supports max of 2666mhz as its a b360

so much to look into its making me lose focus lol

I also have the b360 chipset and i use my old ram which is 2400mhz 14cl

iirc 2400mhz was the max that my old mobo could take and that is why i bought thise, which is kinda ashame now that i can run 2666..

so my point is u might aswell buy the best ram u can get, sometimes u can even get deals 3k ram or at a similar price.

and incase u dident know, they all run 2133mhz until u go into bios and change it

More speed equates to more voltage required.
essentially its overclocked ram thats been tested and verified to work at that speed/timing.
