GIGABYTE X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING

MSI X470 GAMING PLUS


I'mma be upgrading my PC soon, I did alittle digging but wanted to see if anyone has personal experience with these boards.

Going to be strapped with

2700x (don't have)
Cool master seidon 120v ( have just need the free mounting brackets from them)
16gb 3200 ram, 2x 8gb ( gotta buy)
1080 ti hybird (have it)
R9 fury x (have it)

Upgrading currently from
Amd 8350
32gb ddr3, 2600, 4x8gb


Not looking to spend a shit ton on a mobo, but it seems for future possibilities I want the x470 chipset

First one, not going to type out why.

Real world I bet they perform the same TBH. Nothing that stands out on one more than the other. Both have decent VRM heatsink, both support the memory speed you're buying, both have same number of chassis fan headers...
I would honestly choose which one you prefer the look of.

ya basically that and I dont really need the usb-c connections, they have the same usb 3.0 gen 2 ports, and less RGB shit in it. It does require an extra 4pin power pin but thats not a big issue, I have a modular PSU


I really hope a new mobo does come out with the x470 chipsets or better.

Aside from whats listed there the one board has better quality components.
idk why you even asked when you could see the differences.

The Aorus board is much better. Better quality components, better QC from Gigabyte, board won't randomly go up in flames because of MSI (MSI GPUs are fantastic, the mainboards suck).

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, i survived for now going on the 7th yr i think on a MSI 970A-G46 AM3+, 64USD.

friend that bought the asus crossfire, just a betterchipset basically. His stopped booting after 1 and 1/2 yrs.
