When the new 11 seriers (or 20 seriers) releases, I was wandering if anyone knows a safe way to be ready within seconds of it going on pre order to being able to actually pre order/buy it.
Where should I be looking to stay up to date for the long term, and when we have a confirmed date, what page should i have on auto refresh to be ready for pre order.

So to break down my questions a little better in case that wasn't clear.

1. Where to stay up to date on new gpu release date (months)?
2. Where to stay up to date on new gpu pre-order/purchase (seconds/minutes)
3. Finally, chances of still not getting a card and them becoming instantly sold out, if so how to avoid this?

most sites list cards and don't index them for 1-2 days before launch.
thats your best bet, sleuthing the sites for em.

So lets say I do this on newegg or amazon for example.
Should I just have "Nvidia GTX 1180" and/or 2080/70 pending on the name it gets, on auto refresh in their search bar?
How would you go about this exactly?

it's pretty much based off rumour

no one really knows until it comes out

likely their will be a newsletter and then people will anticipate the release as well as the real world performance gains which is usually what most people wait for to buy a card.

you just have to keep checking here and there.


[edit] and it's likely you wont be late cause the first cards are usually reference cards which don't have custom coolers and typically don't suffice for cooling as well as the custom cards that are released at a later date. unless that's what you want (a blower style cooler)

That's really the pinpoint of my question.
Where, in the mean time, is "here and there".
ATM I assume the best course of action is just googling "New nvidia gtx graphics card" constantly to keep it as broad as possible (so it tags the first sites to post on it). Would you agree?



Getting the card at release msrp price vs waiting and having the price skyrocket from miners is more important to me.
If anything I'll just sell it after I buy a gigabyte one or something later on.

People generally guess at whats next or figure out what numbers are missing for new products.
