Hey!

I lost my most recent computer due to a hurricane last year. I've been using a Surface Pro 4 since then, but I'm wanting to get better performance out of my games now.
I've been out of the 'building' scene for a while, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Budget: $2,000
More specific use (what games, what programs): Not very specifics at the moment, but I want it to be capable of running most games I throw at it. I'm interested in eventually getting delving into VR games such as Skyrim etc.
Planned time until purchase: No rush.
Do you need an Operating System?: Yes.
Do you have any specific preferred components?: N/A
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: A wireless card would be ideal.
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: I've never gone further than upgrading the CPU fan/heatsink. Any advice?
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Negative.
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 80229

Will you travel to Microcenter (USA) for parts?: Yes

How much hard drive space do you want or need?: 3+ TB HD, plus an SSD for core games and the OS
Do you prefer a window on your case? Yes, but not 100% necessary

Note: I currently have my Surface Pro 4 connected to a surface doc, where my monitors are connected. Is there some type of configuration possible where I can connect a switch that will alternate my monitors between the surface doc and the desktop? I need the doc to remain, as my work computer is also a SP4.
