there's pretty much nothing to work with here OP

PSU wattage?
monitor resolution/refresh rate?
What's your pci power connector situation like?
what's the rest of your rig so that possible power/bottleneck limitations can be considered?
case clearance i.e how much room is there for a gpu?
what are you going to be using it for?
how much are you looking to spend?

It was more of a general opinion of jsp about the market. Since options are limited due to mining for now is it safe to go ahead and get one while you can (gtx1050 budget 150-200 on the lower side preferred )
Or wait and hope that something happens to bring stock of gpus back and prices back down.

Lower mid range build

it's a horrible time to buy anything higher than a 1050 non-ti, you would have got more bang for your buck in 2015 getting a 960 at MSRP

Yeah I picked the worst time ever to build one but I'm almost done ordering so no turning back now.

I wish I would have bought about 100 bitcoins back in 2013 also and cashed them out this month.

Basically the people of jsp are much smarter and more experienced with computer hardware

Both Nvidia and AMD have been making noise about their opinion of bitcoin miners grabbing up all the gaming vid cards. They seem to have some kind of plan for putting a stop to it.

Something about creating as new line of cards that are useful only for mining. These cards are supposed to be BETTER for mining than the normal gaming cards.
This should force the mining market to buy these new cards so the prices can then drop on the gaming cards.

Yeah I read that the gpus they make won't have display adapters. Making them useless to gamers and directed to mining

Once POS happens all the miners should flood the market with highly used good gpus IDK if they would be good to buy though
