Hey, I've been off the pc train for years and don't really know much about them anymore.

My question is, for about 600-1000$ what can I get that is good enough to play mmorpg games.


I'd like to get the best out there but at the same time I don't mind settling for second best.

Please help me out!

the absolute best out there for mmo's is going to be an oc'd i5-8600k or an i7-8700k with hyper threading disabled, for the highest single thread performance.
because some mmo's actually lose performance with smt and none that I can think of at least even need more than 3-4 cores, most use 2, consider the extra cores gravy.

gpu is much less important but i wouldn't recommend anything slower than a 1050 ti

what parts do you already have? i.e drives case monitor psu peripherals etc can even build around ram

did it ever occur to you that 'gfg' isn't required to run mmo's?
