Well christmas is here, so i'm going to upgrade my video card/ram any recommendations?

CPU I7 3770K

gpu gtx 670 TI

Ram is GSKULL DDR3 8 GIGS

200 GIG SSD

is a 1050 TI worth getting over my 670?

I only play csgo/watch movies

Would need motherboard make/model, to recommend RAM.

Yes a 1050 Ti is JUST better than a gtx 670.

1060 vs. 670: https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1769?vs=1771

They don't have the GTX 1050 Ti on the list.

Here is the RAM: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ZKw323/gskill-memory-f31600c9d16gsr

As for the vid card, I would go to a GTX 1060 6GB, or just stay with the GTX 670. The 1050 Ti is just barely faster than a GTX 670.
The GTX 1060 is 2-3x faster than a GTX 670.

Can you explain something to me? what are you looking for in ram, lower latency right?

ATM i have the F3-12800CL9D 2 4 gig sticks, which seems to be the same latency as the one you posted

It is. I got 1600Mhz RAM, good quality, matched set. It's a pita to try and mix and match RAM. Like to get 2x 4GB more so you can just add it.

I just use the Gskill RAM configurator. And just enter you make/model of motherboard. The results are guaranteed to work with your motherboard.

I know from experience that the Sniper RAM is gfg stuff.

I understand that part, is 8GB to 16 GB is there really a difference? and is it worth spending the 150 for a new set of ram?

More GB just lets you do more things at the same time.

Everything you do on a comp uses RAM, the more RAM the more you can do at the same time.

/e There is really nothing you NEED to do to your comp. I mean maybe get a GTX 1070, that would be a huge gaming upgrade.

If you're not trying to do 15 things at once, or do some serious photoshop editing, you really don't need more RAM. You can spend it all on a vid card.

At minimum, I would get a GTX 1060 6GB, at best get a GTX 1070.

/ee Upgrading your vid card is a good move. It can still be used when you decide to upgrade everything else.
I like to think of it as a half upgrade.

Vid card = 1/2
CPU, RAM and motherboard = 1/2
