I understand that part, is 8GB to 16 GB is there really a difference? and is it worth spending the 150 for a new set of ram?
More GB just lets you do more things at the same time.
Everything you do on a comp uses RAM, the more RAM the more you can do at the same time.
/e There is really nothing you NEED to do to your comp. I mean maybe get a GTX 1070, that would be a huge gaming upgrade.
https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1731?vs=1769If you're not trying to do 15 things at once, or do some serious photoshop editing, you really don't need more RAM. You can spend it all on a vid card.
At minimum, I would get a GTX 1060 6GB, at best get a GTX 1070.
/ee Upgrading your vid card is a good move. It can still be used when you decide to upgrade everything else.
I like to think of it as a half upgrade.
Vid card = 1/2
CPU, RAM and motherboard = 1/2
