Looks, warranties vary slightly. asus has better clock speed/thermals.

I can't fathom how a burner drive is 80$ and its not even blueray so I would totally remove that shit and tell him I called him a tart for even adding it this day in age.
I should point out aside from the low ram speeds and what I consider is a cheaply made AIO your friends builds is ok if your goal is something silent.
The 8700k is aprox 10% more then the 7700k yet its almost half the price.
