Topic Title: Need a Desktop PC built
Description: Gaming / Software Dev
Budget: $1,500
More specific use (what games, what programs): Newer stuff coming out. Want to play new games on pretty high settings
Planned time until purchase: This weekend
Do you need an Operating System?: Yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Would like a good GPU/CPU synergy, Always been an Nividia / Intel follower
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: IDK really, Don't know if it's necessary if not doing sound production
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: Maybe dabble in OC, Possible AIO water cooler? Depends on how it affects price
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Monitor
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 03857

What are your preferences in case style? (lights, flashy, dull, etc) Don't really care. Simple Black case with side glass. Maybe some LEDs later
Are you planning to use multiple monitors? Would like two monitors, depending on price. Not a necessity
Are you looking for upgrade-ability? Not really. Want this build to last a few years
Do you have any preferred brands? Nvidia / Intel as previously stated
Can you reuse any components from an older build? No, first build
Is there anything else you think we should know? $1,500 is a max, anything under is a plus

Thank you in advance to whoever writes this up, trying to save big on the cyber monday deals and what-not.

With a $1500 budget, all you will get is a rather cheap monitor. I don't want to recommend one of them.

As for the 8600K at $295, the 8700K is $414. In order to even get near your budget, I would have to pick all crappy parts other than the CPU or vid card.

Here, with 8700K...

The monitor depends a lot on what games you want to play. First person shooters benefit from low response time and high refresh rate. If you don't do FPS games then we could go with low refresh rate and better image.

/e Would also need to know what size monitor you want.

I dont like huge monitors.
I'd Probly be fine with like a 20-25 inch.
I'm also not on a level of skill where a few ms of respone time isnt going to change my gameplay.

Is this including cyber monday discounts?
Any way to squeeze a 1080 Ti and a i7 current gen for under 2,000?

I'm curious as to that monitor choice. The response time is horrible, and it seems terribly overpriced for a basic 24" IPS panel. I'm not a monitor guru, so maybe there's something about it that I'm not seeing to justify that price tag?
