So I'm looking to upgrade the computer, bought a 1070 a while ago and am now looking to upgrade the 4700k. Do I get the 8700k or the 8600k? I pretty much only game and general computerizing. Will I need a new motherboard? Will my current PSU work(https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151118)? I will be getting new ram though. Will my hyper 212 evo work?

Yes you will need to upgrade motherboard to a z370 chipset. Old Ram won't fit that. Your 212 Evo will work. Anything above 500w Psu will be sufficent.

Going to a i7-4700K (if oc'd) to a 8700k or 8600k is not worth it whatsoever

Haswell i7s are still extremely good

Gonna be an expensive upgrade imo

@op upgrade not worth it. Wait for next generation. Better off spending money on peripherals if you have cash you want to burn :P

Def get an ssd if you don't have one
