Currently trying to weigh out some options for a new desktop I am working on. Main thought I'm having now is weighing which Ram and GPU I want. Will be a Ryzen 7 build.
I bought AsRock x370 Taichi Mobo (
http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X370%20Taichi/#Memory
), and am hung up on if I should buy G. SKill Flare 3200 ram (
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XFT7DF9/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=AVCN3MVCVULPH&psc=1
), or Corsair vengeance 3000 ram (
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134EW7G8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
).
The G. Skill is on the QVL list for the MOBO unlike the corsair, and has 200 more mhz. It costs $50 more than corsair though. Is the extra ram speed worth the $50?
Also, I'm wavering on whether I should buy and aftermarket gtx 1070 (~$430) or gtx 1080 ($550). Trying to crunch the dollars with the thought of using the extra money on a 4k monitor instead of a 1400p monitor. Is the 1080 worth the extra 120?
Any thoughts or direction would be appreciated!

Not really worth the extra 50 bucks. I got them in my build tho (you can see it in my profile)
If you going with a 4k monitor the 120$ for a gtx 1080 is worth in my opinion
