They play on 10FPS w/ their current build. Anything new is going to blow their mind as they've never had a "nice" computer.

They do not need an HDD, only an SSD. They do not need Windows OS. I would like to focus on the GPU/CPU/Ram. They do need a case. Looks do not matter, whatever is cheapest.

Show me what you come up with guys! (If it's AMD and tons better, so be it. IME AMD runs hotter and I'm not a fan of stock cooling with their cards)

Not bad for $600. Trying to lower price some more. Is 8g really necessary for WoW, or ddr4 @ 2400mhz? I know I said focus on ram/gpu/cpu, but I have no idea what will run WoW at minimum 30fps with decent graphics.

I run 60fps @ ultra with 2x 760s and a stock clock i5-4670k

you could keep the ram but maybe cut out the ssd for now? it's not really necessary rather than the other parts are

alternate $600 build. you can go to gtx 1050 and save a little.

imo, every dollar spent past the budget you listed matters immensely. does he have any parts he can reuse from his current pc?

Yes $100% for WoW only. She is playing on an 08 iMac. She's a good friend and a young chick who met her long distance BF on WoW and now they can't play together. I'm trying to help her. She has $420. I told her I'm not well versed in putting together builds that I personally wouldn't use or would put together for a friend.. never built anything under $1,500 in the past few years and I'm not up to date on the new processors, especially these Ryzen AMD I keep seeing. If I can't find anything worth while I'm going to just loan her some money to increase her budget.
