wd blues arent bad if you dont mind a rebranded Sandisk Ultra II

samsung designs their drives to excel in synthetics above all else. in real world performance you'll see little to no difference. That's why atrhur's mushkin eco3 feels just as quick as his 850 evo even though it should be much faster.

Samsung flash is very durable though, if you plan to do a huge amount of writing and for some reason can't consider spinning rust, a 500gb 850 evo is more likely to make it into the multiple pbs of tbw than a competitor. Although the warranty runs out looong before that point, it's still worth noting.
