A GTX 1080 is somewhere tween $500 and $600. That doesn't leave much for the computer itself.

That would be a bit more realistic with your budget.
Either that, or increase your budget.

A rig for $1000 can be built with a GTX 1080, but you won't like it.
Also, it's easier to upgrade a GPU, than a motherboard, CPU and RAM.
