Give us a Speccy screenshot and then we can give you links for the device drivers that you will need.

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link
...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility.
...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

I've always been a fan of Rufus
https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Download the windows ISO from Microsoft and use this tool on it.

Just google

GA-78LMT Chipset Drivers
GTX 950 Drivers (don't get the geforce experience bullshit, do not change your home page to bing)

Good to go

Win7 should handle the rest

Also i would enable XMP Profiles in your bios, 11-11-11-28 are odd timings for 1600mhz ddr3

...and you get your vid card driver, here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers <--- use the manual search.

/e As for an SSD, here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147372

is that your cpu temp under load or idle because that is extremely hot if it's the latter.

I think I had dota running, it does seem a little slower now days though, maybe this is the reason? I have had the comp on carpet since I moved house so maybe it's really dusty and causing overheating. I'll check and clean when I get my ssd

Your best bet to improve system performance in order below.

250 gb SSD (SanDisk is cheap and reliable)
Overclock cpu on a hyper 212 Evo ($25ish)
GPU to 1050ti/1060 6gb (depends on what you can afford)
