i'd like a third monitor that runs at 144hz so i can have an optimal setup for fps games. i'm happy to stay at 1080 resolution. i'd like my build to be able to comfortably utilize the full 144hz of the monitor at low settings on bf1 while streaming 720/50fps on twitch; i'm guessing this probably isn't possible with a 970.

usa for shipping purposes, rebates are fine. i'd like to keep it within, say, a 1000 usd budget. less is more, but if it can't be done, i can shell out more.

I believe you would be able to fully utilize a 144hz monitor with BF1 low settings while streaming GTX 970.
What is your average FPS when playing now?

This is a pretty darn great monitor in the lower price end of 144hz monitors.

If you are interested in using up the budget and wanna be playing max settings 1440p 144hz:

Just resell that 970 then.

The 3770 should still be able to handle it all, but will be closer to bottlenecking. Check out the CPU usage on a secondary monitor while playing+streaming.

If you want to pay the extra money, Yes. Most people dislike the fact the monitor costs 2x more for gsync.

a friend recommended the asus mg248q to me; is it dated comparatively? only 40 dollars up from the acer.
