Am I correct in assuming Windows 7 for a Gaming/Media PC build?

Now should I go with Home, Premium, Professional?
Also, Should I be using a certain service pack?

Win 7/8.1/10 Pro

Out of the three I would say 7 > 10 > 8.1

wait why so many votes in 10?

7 > 10, atleast from my experience, 10 came with so much bloat

/edit

from my little research on google, apparently windows 10 supports dx12 which games like BF1 would need, so I guess get 10

That's why I had thought 7 as well. Plus in my experience games run much smoother and with less compatibility issues on 7.
