Budget: $1000-$2000 CAD
Maximum you will spend? - $2200
Will you complete mail in rebates? -Sure
If so, may we go over-budget if rebates bring you within budget? -Sure
Do you need Windows Operation System within budget? - Can I get Win7 free? If not, then yes I will
Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard within budget? - I will need a keyboard and potentially a monitor. Throw a monitor on outside of the budget. Even an ultrawide if you want. I have a 28" monitor currently.

Basic Info:
Specific Uses (Programs, game titles etc.) - Gaming/Listening to music/Watching streams (Playing Runescape 3, League of Legends, Minecraft)
Country? - Canada
Will you travel to NCIX (canada) or Microcenter (USA) for parts? (Null if unsure) - Yes

How much hard drive space do you want or need? - However much I'll need. 1tb?
Will you use wireless or wired internet? - Both. Mainly wireless until I get my own place and will swap over to wired.
Will you overclock CPU and/or GPU? - Nope, no concept of this; just want something that can push games to decent graphics.
Any special requests or useful things to tell us? (Specific case, need lots of storage, audio etc.) - I would like a case that is slick but has the option for RGB. Preferably white or black with an offset colour.

Style (optional)
Do you prefer any specific colors for the build/computer case? - White/Black
Do you prefer a window on your case? - If it shows off some cool shit, why not.
*(Please note how picky you will be with colors. Sometimes it's just not feasible to get some colors on certain parts)*

Agree on 1070

Disagree on intel processor.... I5 costs like 20% more than the 1600x and isn't nearly as good of a processor :(

once you account for coding the gaming advantage the I5 has poofs....and the 1600x is better in everything else

The only valid reason to get Intel over Ryzen is if you have quality concerns about AMD ( legitimate concern with their history )

no, the only good reasons are budget and if all you do is game then all that extra is pointless currently.
Future proofing is a joke. what concerns with their history could you possibly have to avoid buying a
new proven product?

that 10% more single thread speed really matters when the only point of playing games is to stare at the fps counter. Both get fps that's far above playable? Throw the Ryzen in the trash, you don't need those extra cores anyway goyim, gotta have those extra frames that you won't even see, that's the Intel Price Premium Directx11 Promise.

It's a moot point anyway when less than 1% of all the good, fun games you could possibly play on a computer have come out in the last 3 years. I'd go Ryzen and continue to play older titles until new releases stop being shit, and by then having 12-16 threads will be a boon. Go Intel for those too if you think 350 fps is that much more playable than 320.

i'd pay $20 more for the 1600 over the 7500. Though if OP had intentions to OC and with his budget prolly woulda picked 7700k
