Considering an RX 560 as a temp card until I do a full rebuild ( 6-12 months max maybe sooner )

supposedly launching this week?

I was also considering just dropping the 300 cdn on an 8GB RX 580, but will that support high resolution gaming for the next couple years ? or not worth investing in it ?

If 1070s would drop to their rightful price of 400 cdn id snap one up

And the answer to your other question is I'm guessing in a years time or even 6 months the 1070 will look poopy

Depends, i'd say at 1080p the 1070 will kick ass and take names up until the day it burns out, it's overkill for crunching out that # of pixels.
even at 1440p it'll perform admirably for years to come, eventually you may have to settle for High settings instead of Max but eh.

4k is a diff story but why go 4k

tempting trust me, but if I was going to go for a 1080 ti I'd wait a month and see what Vega offers in June

the sad part is I need something I can do light 1080p gaming ( league, cs, overwatch , doom etc ) until then



I will probably be doing 1440p on my rebuild, I want a solid resolution, but 4k seems a bit of a waste

Could an RX 580 handle 1440p admirably for years to come ?

Is a 1070 a significant upgrade over the rx 580?

We already know Vega's flagship chip is only 10% faster than the 1080, yeah amd ages better but that was in best case scenarios.

1070 Wil be fine for 1440

Lmk
