Hello this is my first build and i do not have windows installed yet i jst finished putting it together and upon going ti the bios my cpu temp was at 80c and i dont know whats wrong
Heres my setup:
case- corsair crystal 460x
Motherboard- gigabyte z270 ultra gaming
Cpu- i5-7600k
Cpu cooler- corsair h100i gtx with turbo silent fans artic silver 5 paste
Gpu-gigabyte 1060 xtreme
Psu- evga supernova 850 g3 80+gold

When im in the bios it shows the pump speed at 0 unless i put it to full speed then it slowly goes up hits 600rpm then 45second to a minute later it goes to 700 and so on until avout 1300rpm

I have the pump plugged into the cpu_opt header and a case fan plugged into the cpu header and ive tried revered those to plugs with the same results.

Any help would be appreciated.

Turn it up to 100% in the BIOS. Leave it there until you get it sorted out.

Remember, that when you 1st enter the BIOS (just turned the computer on), it takes a while for the pump to come up to speed. It's not a fan...it's a pump and it's pushing fluid.

Might also want to double check the thermal paste.

/e Also, the 7600K runs a tad hot.

I tried putting the pump to 100% and watched it for a min and the pump speed usually stayed around 1300 but my temps were still 76-80c

Edit: i will try reapply thermal paste when i get home from work

Too much is just as bad as too little...thermal paste.

Also, keep in mind that Arctic Silver 5 takes about 200 hours to cure.

I mean I guess when
You see people switching
On pumps to flush and move
Water and it instantly at max speed
Are all lies
