My bro is building a new pc, Ryzen 1700 + gtx 1070 based build - which got me wondering should I also upgrade mine (build a new one) or am I fine with what I built 2,5yrs ago?

Fx 8320
8gb 1600 RAM
RX280 gpu

I'm mainly doing video editing with Sony Vegas 14 and some gaming (gta V, LoL etc)

Should I upgrade,or wait for AMD Vega gpu to come out? :3

Also could someone tell me, what would a 2,5year pc be worth nowadays (initial price ~800€ /$840) (incl. windows 10)

Cheers,
Aaron

GTX 1070? RX480?

Does rendering time vary alot between fx8320 and r7 1700?

yes, because you're comparing to a tech that was released not too long ago vs something that was out 5+ years ago.

honestly, it depends on you if you NEED the upgrade or just WANT the upgrade because of ur bro.

if ur computer is fine with doing the shit you do now, i'd hold out til it really begins to struggle for your needs etc.

This is the reason I still run a 8320

People give me shit for it, wew hope it makes them feel better

But it runs the games I play, when paired with my new gpu, at max settings and max frames for my lame monitors.
