I don't know why it wouldn't let me put it in the title but the processors are the i7 7700k and the i5 7600k

I have been debating which processor I would like to buy to go with my 1070 card. I've heard good things about both but I have also heard that the 7700 is not worth the price you pay. i5 is roughly $220 while the i7 is roughly $350. Does the i7 perform noticeably better? Can someone knowledgeable weigh in?

If you're just looking for something to game with, i5.

If you plan on doing video editting / Encoding / Other heavy CPU programs, the i7 is better.

That's kind of the impression I got too. Also forgot to mention in my original post I don't really have any plans for OCing

You'll likely be fine with the 7600k

I'd suggest getting the K model, Since you may change your mind & OC down the road.

And resell value if that ever ever becomes a case too
