i'm working on a build that will include a version of linux os. i've been looking at asus mobo's and have read there are compatibility issues with the linux os.
the asus prime z270 for example, you have to go through extra hoops to get the network card operational.

i'm trying to research compatibility with asus mobo's and the linux OS, but a lot of the info i find is pretty generic.... "trust me buy something else"
are there numerous issues i will come across using 1 of these mobo's? or would i just have to worry about a small initial headache that will pay off in the end?

any info would be helpful
here is what i have currently in the build, again not certain about mobo though.

When talking linux its usually the initial setting up thats a pain in the ass but once the systems configured your pretty sound.
Also being as its new hardware linux will support it better down the road.

thank you for your input. it does seem a lot of the generic "stay away" comments pertain to the initial setup. i'm actually finding it a little baffling why people are suggesting against ASUS when running versions of Linux. i've come to know ASUS as a quality brand. if it's just a small headache at the start, i'd imagine that small headache is worth having quality components.

i'll continue reading around as i'm very heavily assuming a lot of things. this is a first in a lot of ways for me, and a rather expensive electronic tool to mess up off the start.
if anyone has any more info pertaining to Linux and component compatibility, please post up.
even just more assurance is nice if that's all you can spare.
