Hello all ,
Quick question - One, is it worth upgrading my current RAM from 4 GB to 16 GB ? as well is that the only upgrade i can do for my late 2011 macbook pro ?
Two, (just asking for reassurance) - my mac states "contains 2 memory slots each of which accepts a 1333 MHZ DDR3 memory module. Again (late 2011 macbook pro) That being said this ram should be viable ?
https://www.amazon.ca/Corsair-Certified-Laptop-Memory-CMSA16GX3M2A1333C9/dp/B006ON5KZC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1488518724&sr=8-2&keywords=macbook+pro+ram+16gb
And a quick noob question - More RAM would do what for my macbook ?
Thanks

Pretty sure you can update the ram hard drive and battery in that model
I switched out all 3 at once on an early 2011 MBP 13" and its comparably as fast (subjective but bottom line is it went from lagging to open anything to being smooth) on startup, opening programs, handling tabs as my tower and Windows laptop
Pretty sure any ddr3 laptop ram should be fine but not 100% on this

True, at least according to
https://www.google.ca/amp/www.zdnet.com/google-amp/article/how-to-boost-your-macbook-pro-performance/
Which says I can upgrade SSD and put 2 in with an optical drive adapter for another SSD. Can anyone confirm this and link me to the parts compatible for my MacBook ?!
For SSD I would want around the 250GB range as its most affordable. And confirm on the RAM as well as a battery.
Again I'm in Canada. Cheers thanks and have a great Friday.
